Reactions and Advanced Notation
Inspect reaction participants, work with advanced CXSMILES features, and understand how AtomLens handles richer chemistry notations.
Reaction viewing
When AtomLens opens reaction content, it switches to a reaction-aware layout and keeps participant selection tied to both the canvas and sidebar content.
- Tap a participant card or select directly from the reaction depiction.
- The overview panel updates to the currently selected reactant, product, or agent.
Advanced notation support
AtomLens is designed to keep modern chemistry notation useful instead of flattening everything to the simplest possible structure.
- CXSMILES layers such as supported highlights and advanced annotations are recognized.
- Markush and related R-group depictions are supported where the active format and data allow it.
- RGfile import and condition-dependent export keep R-group-oriented structures available for workflows that need them.
- CML can contain either molecule or reaction content, and AtomLens detects both.
What to expect from fidelity
Different file formats preserve different chemistry details. AtomLens aims to retain as much supported meaning as possible, but the roundtrip fidelity still depends on the capabilities of the chosen source and saved file format.
